Event Details
The law of Karma effects us one way or the other, so it is extremely useful to achieve an understanding of the karmic patterns that we have to deal with this lifetime. This enables us to face our life with grace, acceptance and fortitude. The ultimate way to deal with our Karma is to rise above it, meditation becomes an essential aid in the process of our transformation.
This two-part workshop will include short meditation sessions and discussion on the topics. After class personal consultations will be available.
Message from Venerable Miao Hui
Throughout my 20 years as a monastic, I have focused my attention on meditation. I firstly followed teachers in the Theravada tradition focusing on practices onfSamatha and Vipassana with stays in Myanmar, India and Sri Lanka. For the past 14 years I have followed Ven. Jian Meng from Taiwan in the Mahayana Zen tradition. Most of the time was spent in intensive trainings as a full-time meditation practitioner. With years of experience, I realised how Dharma, the teachings of the Buddha, can transform lives and liberate us from the illusions of the mind that binds us to suffering. And I wish to share this with others.
