Most Buddhists are familiar with the meaning of and importance of, but few are aware that the Buddha spoke about quite a few different types of love. In this talk Bhante will discuss conjugal love, familial love, the love of animals, etc. and ask probing questions such as whether there is a love that is unconditional.
About the Speaker: Bhante Dhammika was born in Australia in 1951 and became a monk in India in 1976. He trained in Sri Lanka and later taught there for 20 years and subsequently spent another 20 years in Singapore, finally returning to Australia in 2017. Bhante’s many books and articles on Buddhism have been translated into numerous languages, His most recent offering is an in-depth study of the Buddha’s life based only on the information about him preserved in the Pali Canon.
