About the Speakers
Meg Hart is a cross-cultural leadership coach and organisational consultant. She has an academic background in Organisational and Coaching Psychology, practical business know-how running manufacturing and consultancy companies and wide experience in Australia and Asia delivering action learning programs on leadership, ethics and cultural intelligence.
Formerly Director of Consulting at The St James Ethics’ Centre, Meg recently spent a year working for the Royal Government of Bhutan together with a multi-disciplinary team to produce a ground-breaking UN report, Happiness: Towards a New Development Paradigm. She holds a Master of Applied Science (Coaching Psychology), Sydney University, a Bachelor of Social Science (Psychology/Sociology), Hong Kong University and has sat on numerous boards and panels including NSW Health’s Agency for Clinical Innovation, Siddhartha’s Intent Australia, Lotus Outreach Australia and the Buddhist Council of NSW.
Venerable Dr Juewei is Head of Program for Humanistic Buddhism, Director of the Humanistic Buddhism Centre, and Lecturer of Applied Buddhist Studies at Nan Tien Institute in Australia. She teaches subjects related to Humanistic Buddhism (HB) and Chinese Buddhism, supported by her research and development that revolves around acculturation and application of Buddhist teachings in the modern world.
Juewei holds a PhD in Religious Studies, a Master of Arts in Buddhist studies, a Master of Business Administration, and a Master of Science in Computer Science and Engineering. Juewei began her career as an applied R&D engineer in Artificial Intelligence systems in the 1980s and moved on to management positions in Singapore’s statutory bodies. She made her millennial decision to join the Fo Guang Shan order when she realised that she could be of the best service to humanity through promoting humanistic values in an increasingly-divided world.
