Like the sea, we rise!
Join our picnic and human ‘tide’ along Sydney’s iconic harbour foreshore at the Botanical Gardens near Circular Quay.
Come dressed in blue, your favourite sea creature, or any ocean-themed costume you can dream up.
We will gather together at Fig Tree Lawn (a beautiful foreshore parkland area that will be underwater by the end of the century according to IPPC reports) to connect, heal, play and create.
Together we will be a human sea of blue to visually highlight the impact of sea level rise on our beautiful harbour city, and on all coastal communities around the world.
This is a family event, so bring the kids, a picnic, friends and grandparents. We will celebrate the power of community with a regenerative culture picnic featuring workshops, arts, stories, music and other fun activities to envision what a sustainable future can look like.
In the spirit of regenerative community-building we will be co-creating the picnic activities together. If you want to get involved, host an activity – please get in touch!
