Metta Centre offers our heartfelt condolences to the families, friends and communities affected by the recent stabbing attack at Bondi Junction. Having worked in the mental health space for many years, we understand just how complex and challenging it is to help those suffering from a mental illness. We are also aware of the lack of funding and limited support for the public and not-for-profit organisations that do incredible work in the mental health sector. This year, Metta Centre will be partnering up with the Hsing Yun Education Foundation, Pure Green Foundation, BLIA Sydney and Nan Tien Temple, in their Sydney VegRun at the Buddha’s Birthday Multicultural Festival to raise awareness for mental wellbeing and raise funds for the Black Dog Institute, a not-for-profit mental health research institute in Australia.
Join us in this charity event, running 3-kilometres for physical and mental health, and for the health of our planet. Sponsor a runner, and know that your donation will go to supporting Black Dog Institute complete much needed research into the mental health of our community.
