This is the second in a series of 5 talks focusing on Thay’s personal experience of renunciation / nekkhamma / letting go in the development of the monastic life. This talk is founded in Thay’s reflection on Matthew’s gospel, chapter 8, verses 18 – 20, and Ch’an Master Huang Po’s 18th portion of his teaching “The Transmission of Mind”.
Speaker

His teacher is the Most Venerable Thầy Thích Thanh Từ, a meditation master in the Truc Lam (Bamboo Forest) school. He has a Master’s Degree in Social Sciences (Counselling) and a Diploma in Psychosynthesis and was the Buddhist representative chaplain at the University of Tasmania for four years prior to working for four years as the Buddhist chaplain at Oasis, the multifaith chaplaincy centre at Flinders University, SA.
