Based on the study of the popular book Life with Full Attention, this eight week course explores Buddhist mindfulness practice.
We often feel like we’re not living life to the full. Instead of directly experiencing life we’re lost in a cacophony of thought, anxiety and chaos. Increasingly people are turning to mindfulness for help with this. But the Buddha’s mindfulness teachings are far more than a way of coping with the stress of the modern world. They are a direct way of seeing deeply into the truth of life and living from that, a direct path to joy, excitement and freedom.
On this course you’ll learn, in a step-by-step way, how to harness the magic of the Buddha’s four fundamental dimensions of mindfulness, as well as how to apply them to the life you’re actually living. This is course of doing, experiencing, and practising: while you will be asked to do some reading each week, it is not an academic pursuit. Together we’ll explore how a new world can open for us through greater awareness of our body; our feeling experiences; our thoughts; our relationships and the beauty which surrounds us in this world.
This is an 8 week course. Spaces are limited, and booking in advance is required. The cost for the whole course is $195 (or a concession rate of $155 for people who were unwaged) which includes a copy of the physical book which is yours to keep. If you prefer a digital copy of the book the cost is $170 (or a concession rate of $130).
