A look at the intriguing intersections Buddhism has with other religions, western philosophy and modern forms of psychology. Explore ways to have inner integration with the ways of wisdom that resonate for us each as individuals while still respecting the integrity of each tradition and their respective tools and goals. Look at the seeming contradictions in these different worldviews through the lens of collaboration and humour as well as deep contemplation.
This class will have an in depth presentation from Venerable Yönten, the former resident teacher of Kunsang Yeshe Centre who currently teaches at Maitripa College – a Buddhist university based in Portland Oregon. Ven. Yönten is known for her openness to questions and debates as well as her creative approach to traditional content.
Suitable for both beginners and experienced practitioners. Everyone is welcome to attend!
