A transformative course based on The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying. For beginners, offered in person and online. Thursday evenings, 7.00 – 9.00pm. Starting 28 January, running through to December.
Twenty-five years since its publication, The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying continues to offer a wealth of advice for people of any religion or of none to enrich their lives. This course takes participants on an experiential journey through the book, giving a taste of the major themes and their implications. It encourages you to reflect on them, to see what makes sense to you and what you would want to bring into your life.
This course includes:
How to meditate
How an acceptance of impermanence can help us understand death and change our attitude towards life
How meditation can transform our perception, increase our confidence and fully connect us to the world around us
Understanding that mind is much more than just thoughts and emotions
How understanding the interdependence of all things and the principle of karma gives us a logical basis for ethical behavior and personal responsibility
