Bhante Akaliko returns for AABCAP to continue his exploration of the Buddha’s teachings on hate. This session focuses on the strategies and skills we need to develop to ensure that strong emotions like resentment and anger don’t overwhelm our mind and destroy our happiness. Join Bhante Akaliko for a guided meditation and discover the Buddha’s advice on how we can heal our hate, so that we can fill our hearts with loving kindness and compassion instead.
Bhante Akaliko is an Australian monk in the Theravadan Forest Tradition residing at Lokanta Vihara. Bhante first encountered Buddhism as a teenager and spent over twenty years practicing in different traditions before taking full ordination with Ajahn Brahm. Bhante’s teachings help people find increasing peace and happiness through the timeless wisdom of the Buddha. Bhante is the founder of Rainbodhi and is Buddhist Chaplain at Western Sydney University and on the Board of Directors of the Buddhist Council of NSW.
