Event Details
Dana is a word in the Pali language meaning giving, offering, generosity and liberality. Giving, or “dana”, through generosity is a human virtue that is encouraged in most religions of the world. In Buddhism, giving can be described as the basic foundation of Buddhist practice and is of both great importance and significance in the spiritual development of its followers.~
This Dana Day is jointly organised by AEB & Buddhist Library in conjunction with Thay Thong Phap’s visit to Sydney. This is a rare occasion where we can all come together, have a chance to listen to talk, have a dialogue with the monk, practice meditation together, offering food to the Sangha and have lunch together with the Community.
If you like, you may bring a plate of food to offer to the Sangha and to share with the Community.
Venerable Thich Truc Thong Phap will be very happy to meet you!
