Event Details

Kagyu Monlam, one of the most significant events in Buddhist calendars, is the annual gathering for hundreds of disciples of the four schools of Tibetan Buddhism, to share aspiration prayers in holy places throughout India.  It is the Buddhists event to spread the  seeds of loving kindness and pure motivation and bring about genuine peace, love, happiness and well-being to the world.
The Tibetan word “Mon-lam” can be translated as “Path of Aspiration”.  The main prayer being recited during the Kagyu Monlam, the “King of Aspiration Prayers”, centres around the supremely altruistic wish that we attain enlightenment in order to lead all beings to enlightenment.  Genuine and heart-felt prayers gathering at the Kagyu Monlam reciting the prayer, the power is increased in hundred thousand or more times, This contributes to the well-being and spiritual development of all sentient beings and helps them reach enlightenment.
However this year, given the current situation due to the COVID-19 epidemic, an online Asia Kagyu Monlam will be held primarily for the devotees in Asia.
