Join us for this inspiring prayer ritual. During Guru Puja (or Lama Chopa), we invoke all the lamas of the graduated path lineage beginning with Shakyamuni Buddha himself, extending to our present direct teachers who have shown us the path. We pay homage to them, make offerings, and request each of them to please bless our minds with the same realisations that they themselves have generated. By offering sincere heartfelt requests, we make our minds ripe to receive the full blessings of his precious lineage and quickly actualise the realisations we need to attain enlightenment.
Margaret Bohler has over 30 years’ experience leading pujas and rituals and has kindly agreed to lead these important pujas.
All are very warmly welcome. Offerings of flowers and wrapped foods welcome beforehand.

A regular group has been attending the Drop-in Meditation sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. For those who have not yet attended these sessions, they provide a simple relaxing experience of settling the mind and do not require previous experience of meditation or pre-booking. Just drop in and enjoy!
One change from 1 July on is that Drop-in Meditation will no longer take place on Sundays. A reminder that Medicine Buddha healing meditation sessions, which are growing in popularity, are held on the third Thursday of the month, this month on Thursday 20 July.
If you think you could benefit from a soothing meditation session, then please feel welcome to attend one of these sessions in July.

Followed by Christmas party at 7.30 pm
Ganden Ngamchoe, literally “Ganden Offering of the Twenty-Fifth Day,” is also known as Lama Tsongkhapa Day. It is a celebration of the anniversary of the parinirvana of Lama Tsongkhapa (1357-1419), the founder of the Gelug tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.
Lama Zopa Rinpoche encourages FPMT students to engage in a variety of practices on Ganden Ngamchoe to celebrate and create merit, including making light offerings. While at Kopan Monastery last year on Lama Tsongkhapa Day, Rinpoche said, “Light offering is very important, in particular, by making light offerings you are able to dispel the darkness of ignorance and develop Dharma wisdom. Any light offering can dispel darkness, it doesn’t have to be just a butter lamp. You can offer electric lights and even the sun.”
All welcome. Places are limited! Bring offerings of flowers and fruit.
We will celebrate with Lama Tsongkhapa Guru Puja

Event Details
Every Saturday morning
Qi in the Traditional Chinese Medicine stands for the life energy that is ever present in the environment and within our bodies. Chinese Thai Chi and Qi Gong health exercises work on the body to nurture enhance and nourish that Qi energy.
Indian Yoga tradition also works on the body to nourish the Prana, which is what they call life energy; it aims to work through the Nadis, energy channels, and Chakras.
Raul will work with both disciplines and integrate them, to give the students a possibility to improve their overall health and a wider understanding of their own practice; as well as train focusing their awareness within their own innermost being.
During the class we will be focusing on observing and nurturing the Qi/Prana energy in the body, as well as Chakras, Nadis and meridians.
Raul will be incorporating Hatha Yoga asanas, Pranayama and meditation with Chinese Qi energy and flow meditation exercises.

As sentient beings, we experience the world through our minds, and every moment is a new opportunity to perceive it differently. The world as we see it is a creation of our mind, shaped by our beliefs, experiences, and emotions. Science and technology have advanced thanks to our ability to understand the world around us, yet we have not still fully explored the functionality of our own minds. The mind is like a tool, one we’ve had since birth, yet don’t know how to properly use which, quite obviously, results in day-to-day troubles and mental health issues.

For those who have not yet attended these sessions, they provide a simple relaxing experience of settling the mind and do not require previous experience of meditation or pre-booking. One change from 1 July on is that Drop-in Meditation will no longer take place on Sundays. A reminder that Medicine Buddha healing meditation sessions, which are growing in popularity, are held on the third Thursday of the month, this month on Thursday 20 July.

White Tara is the goddess of longevity and peaceful aspects for purifying the negative deeds that accumulated from many past lives, especially negativities that shorten our life.
This year we are doing a special White Tara retreat with six domes of light which is not only to remove the obstacles of life but also to achieve the four different types of Siddhis. Peaceful, enrichment, magnetising, and furious.
From Tuesday 26th of December to Thursday 28th of December 2023, STL will be conducting a White Tara retreat of Wish Fulfilling Wheel with Six Domes of Light.
Accommodations are available for those who wish to stay at the centre. Participants can also attend the centre during the retreat and leave at the end of the day.
There are no prerequisites for attending as the White Tara Empowerment will be given before the start of the first session of the retreat (please see program attached), however we do ask that participants to commit to the retreat in its entirety.
This retreat includes a vegetarian diet requirement and fasting during dinner time.
Venue: 71-89 Davenport Drive, Wallacia NSW 2745
Cost: $200 per person
RSVP by 5pm 18 December 2023
Please note that our room capacity is very limited (can accommodate up to 8 adults, 2-3 per room). Therefore, it’s very crucial that you RSVP by 5pm on 18 December 2023.

First Saturday of each month
Qigong works to restore and maintain Qi / Chi energy through gentle and repetitive movements that benefit both young and old. It improves cardiovascular, respiratory, circulatory, lymphatic, and digestive functions. The ultimate aim of ancient Qigong practice is to refine and clear one’s body, emotions, and mental and psychic energy. This ability to integrate and heal is part of the journey to becoming a mature, balanced adult.

Event Details
This 3-night meditation retreat allows practitioners to settle into stillness and quiet. The retreat becomes a supportive environment to go deeper into meditation than is typically possible with the busyness and complexities of daily life. The beautiful, serene environment allows space for cultivating awareness and equanimity and for exploring the mind.
The goal of the retreat is to provide an environment where all students can receive the required support and instructions to help them move forward in their practice.
This is a student-centred retreat, which means that there is no set curriculum to follow but rather each student will continue their own meditation practice and all talks and interviews will be responsive to students’ needs and interests. Instructions on meditation techniques will be provided as required and all levels of experience are welcome. If you are unsure about suitability you can speak with the teacher prior to the retreat.
Teacher: Kynan Tan is a meditation teacher who takes a collaborative approach to helping students achieve their meditation goals. He draws upon a number of different modern and traditional techniques of contemplative and introspective practice. He is a longtime practitioner of the stages of śamatha-vipassanā (as presented in the book The Mind Illuminated), Rob Burbea’s insight meditation techniques, nondual awareness, and brahmavihārā practices (mettā, compassion, empathetic joy, and equanimity).
Cost: $335–$450, covering accommodation and all vegan meals. Early bird prices are available until 20 December. As in the Buddhist tradition, there will be an opportunity to offer the teacher a donation (dāna or generosity) after the retreat.

In this retreat, we will engage in meditations on the conventional nature of our mind to develop meditative concentration (or shamtha), with emphasis on the cultivation of the qualities of spaciousness, bliss and stillness. Then we will explore the ultimate nature of the mind to develop insight (or vipassana), with emphasis on investigating the relationship between awareness and thoughts.
The retreat will include guided and silent meditations, with explanations on the practice and time for Q&A or discussion.
We are excited to be offering a residential option for this retreat
