Event Details
We, students of Pal Buddhist School (The First Buddhist School in Australia), are organising an event – The Night of the Wheel-Turning Monarch.
The Buddha had once spoken of a “Wheel-Turning Monarch” as a person that is a wise and is a courteous leader who uses the Dhamma for the merit and wellbeing of all in the community.
Our goal of this fundraising event is to raise money to accomplish the school’s goal of growing and expanding of our new Leppington Campus. The students at Pal have been diligently and tirelessly working at organising all aspects of the event and will even be hosting during the night!
The event will involved with a multitude of activities from performances, a gallery of student artwork, an auction, a raffle and a showcase of the school’s curriculum.
As students of Pal Buddhist School, we would like to extend our most humble appreciation for your continued interest and support. Your generosity and kindness are fundamental in uplifting the schools noble vision allowing us to fulfil our purpose of developing wholesome and upright leaders of tomorrow. We as students would be honoured to invite members of our community to take part in this fundraising event. We would like you to take part of this event through assisting in the advertisement of the night.
If you would like to purchase a ticket, please email me back! It would be very appreciated.
Ticket prices:
Table seating per person $70
Table for a group of eight $500
For extra information about the canonical status of the wheel turning monarch –
The Buddha had spoken about 7 treasures:
1. The Wheel Treasure: represents knowledge of Dhamma; a knowledge bank that will light up or make noble.
2. The Elephant Treasure: represents the majestic leader who discipline, courage, integrity, harmony, and progression of the kingdom. (RADI – Reliability, Accountability, Discipline, Integrity)
3. The Horse Treasure: represents individuals sought after for their high intelligence, energy and determination to work through tasks no matter how challenging, difficult and arduous they are to achieve. (worker bees)
4. The Jewel Treasure: represents something/someone of high value or worth (PBS training grounds match this treasure/8-noble paths).
5. The Woman Treasure: represents ‘feminine’ wisdom/energy required by a WTM.
6. The Householder Treasure: represents individuals who manage financing and money; where |money comes from, to ensure money is used wisely.
7. The Counsellor Treasure: represents an advisor/counsellor for the WTM who prevents to monarch from making disastrous or fatal mistakes due to lack of clear insight or wisdom.
