GOVERNANCE AND ACCOUNTABILITY
The Buddhist Council of New South Wales is governed by a Management Committee which is supported by volunteers. After each financial year, an Annual General Meeting is held to report the financial position and overall progress. A new Management Committee is also elected. After the financial position is approved by the members, a report is made to the Office of Fair Trading, in accordance with the Associations Incorporation Act 1984 (NSW).
It is our intention that we publish a user-friendly annual report for our annual general meeting which summarises our achievements, plans and how we have used our donated funds to fulfil our mission.
Our constitution was updated at our AGM on 9 March 2008.
It was updated again at the AGM on 10 July 2010.
