The Buddhist Council of NSW is happy to present a talk by Dr. Ronald Epstein from the United States. He will be sharing his thoughts on the topic


“The Growth of Dharma in the West”

Dr. Ronald Epstein is currently a Research Professor at the Institute for World Religions in Berkeley California. He was on the Board of Trustees for the Dharma Realm Buddhist Association and Buddhist University and is currently on the Editorial Committee of “Religion East and West”. He holds a Ph.D in Buddhist from the University of California and an M.A. in Chinese Language and Literature from the University of Washington. His research interests include the Mahayana sutras, Yogachara Buddhism and applied Buddhist ethics. Dr. Epstein is very fluent in the Mandarin language and has acted as principal translator for numerous Chinese Sutras
